Munroe announces formation of bipartisan Law Enforcement Caucus

HARRISBURG, April 9 – State Rep Brian Munroe announced the formation of the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Caucus at a news conference in the state Capitol today. Munroe said bipartisan initiative aims to foster collaboration between policymakers and the law enforcement community to create legislative solutions to enhance public safety and support the dedicated men and women in uniform. The Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Caucus is dedicated to advancing policies that enhance public safety, improve training and resources for law enforcement personnel, and bridge the gap between officers and the communities they protect. By bringing together lawmakers, active and retired law enforcement professionals, and community leaders, the caucus aims to strengthen public safety and build better relationships between law enforcement and the public. "As a former police officer, I understand the challenges that law enforcement professionals face on a daily basis,” Munroe said. “But it’s equally important to recognize the need for greater trust and understanding between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Munroe Presents Check to Operation Eternal Gratitude

A veteran himself and a member of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, Pa. state Rep. Brian Munroe knows the sacrifices that our active-duty military personnel make every day. Munroe invited students from Central Bucks South High School to the state Capitol to present them with a check to help their organization send care packages to American troops serving overseas. Operation Eternal Gratitude was started by Central Bucks South students in 2001 and continues to this day, showing those who serve how they are appreciated for their sacrifice. Read more

Munroe takes the oath of office

HARRISBURG, Jan. 7 – State Rep. Brian Munroe was sworn in for his second two-year term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Munroe took the oath of office, administered by Pennsylvania Supreme Court Chief Justice Debra Todd, alongside fellow members of the state House. A Navy veteran and retired police officer, Munroe brings a wealth of experience from his service to his country and his community. His background has equipped him with the leadership, dedication, and problem-solving skills necessary to represent his constituents effectively. Munroe said he and his staff are committed to continuing their work with the residents of his district, listening to their concerns, and advocating for policies that will improve their lives. “I am excited to continue working on behalf of the people in my district and to collaborate with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to make Pennsylvania a better place for all,” Munroe said. NEWLY LISTED PROGRAMS Department of Aging: Senior Community Center Grant Program Who May Apply: Senior community centers with an existing, contractual relationship with an Area Agency on Aging. Use: Funding opportunities are intended for enhancements to increase participation and programming, attract a new generation of older adults, and enable Senior Community Centers to provide a safe and healthy environment for their participants. Funds: $2 million in competitive grant funding is available. Application Deadline: December 13, 2024 More information: PA Grants website Commission on Crime and Delinquency: STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program Who May Apply: County governments and non-profit agencies. Use: To support communities in their efforts to develop and strengthen effective responses to domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence through multidisciplinary collaboration. Funds: A total of $870,000 over the three-year project period in federal STOP Formula Grant funds is being announced to support this initiative. Munroe secures state funding for local utility project

HARRISBURG, Oct 23 – State Rep. Brian Munroe announced a $1 million state grant for the North Wales Water Authority through the Local Share Account Statewide Program . The NWWA will use the grant to help fund its Shetland Drive water tank renovation in Warrington. Originally installed in 1974, the Shetland Drive water tank is in urgent need of reconditioning. This includes a comprehensive inspection, necessary spot repairs and a complete repainting. Without the inspection, the tank would be taken out of service until funding is available, which could lead to increased fees for customers. LSA funds will be allocated for renovation and inspection expenses. The total project cost is $1,167,436, with $167,436 already committed from the North Wales Water Authority. “Investing in the Shetland Drive water tank project is crucial for ensuring reliable water service for our community,” Munroe said. “This project not only addresses essential repairs but also safeguards public health and infrastructure. WARMINSTER, May 28 – Legislators from both Bucks and Montgomery counties today recognized the sacrifices made by the mothers of soldiers and sailors deployed in the United States Armed Forces in a ceremony held at the Warminster VFW Post 6493 . State Reps. Brian Munroe, Nancy Guenst, Ben Sanchez and Melissa Cerrato recognized area Blue Star Mothers as May is Blue Star Mothers Month.
