Munroe takes oath for first term in PA House

HARRISBURG, Jan. 3 – State Rep. Brian Munroe took the oath of office today in the state Capitol to begin his first term representing the 144 th Legislative District, which comprises parts of New Britain, Warminster and Warrington townships, along with the borough of Ivyland, in Bucks County. The noon swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of the 2023-24 legislative session of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Munroe said some of his priorities in his first term will be championing good-government initiatives to decrease the cost of living, protect the environment and ensure the safety of everyone in the community. “I am humbled beyond words for the opportunity to provide a voice for friends, neighbors and residents of the 144 th Legislative District,” Munroe said. “I look forward to accomplishing the work that must be done for our commonwealth to continue on its upward trajectory. Last year, many Pennsylvanians enrolled in health insurance through a Pennie plan and paid lower monthly premiums due to premium subsidies included in the American Rescue Plan Act.
