Grants will support technology and equipment upgrades to improve safety

CORAOPOLIS, Dec. 14 – Four local law enforcement agencies were approved to receive a total of $346,588 in federal funding to improve safety, announced state Rep. Anita Kulik, D-Allegheny.

The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency awarded funding to the following:

  • $178,786 to Carnegie Borough for Central Square RMS licenses, rugged tablets, body-worn cameras, patrol car dash cameras, surveillance cameras and license plate readers.

“Cameras, license plate readers and other equipment are valuable resources for officers who work hard every day to keep our neighborhoods safe,” Kulik said. “I’m pleased to see investments in technology and equipment that will support our local police departments in their efforts to protect and serve our communities.”
