Last call – Veterans Holiday Drive
|
Our office is participating in the Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds’ Veterans Holiday Drive, which benefits the Veterans Multi-Service Center.
We will be collecting hats, shirts, gloves, scarves, new underwear, small hygiene products & women’s hygiene products, laundry detergent pods, non-perishable food items, and individually wrapped snacks through Dec. 31. Please consider donating to help local veterans.

Code Blue in Effect this Weekend
|
A Code Blue cold weather emergency is in effect until Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 9 a.m. Residents who need shelter during a Code Blue can call Your Way Home Montgomery County’s Call Center at (610) 278-3522. Click here for more information.

New Income Limit for Retired Status Vehicle Registration
|
If you are retired and receiving Social Security or other pension income and your total annual income from all sources is $29,906 or less, you qualify to register your passenger vehicle or light truck for an $11 processing fee per year instead of the standard $45 registration fee. This represents an increase of over $10,000 from the prior income eligibility limit.

Learn How to Navigate Work Zones
|
PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission have joined forces to develop a New Driver Work Zone Safety Program to teach new drivers how to navigate in work zones with confidence and safety.
The free virtual training, available in both English and Spanish, covers safe driving practices in work zones, simulates real-life scenarios drivers might encounter, and explains work zone laws. Click here for the free 35-minute virtual training program.

Dog License Renewal Applications Available
|
Dog licensing renewal applications for Montgomery County residents are now available for 2025. Renewal notices should have already been emailed to previous Montgomery County dog owners as of Dec. 5; please check your junk or spam box if you have not received yours yet.
Annual dog licenses can be purchased online, by mail, at a licensed agent or over the counter at the Montgomery County Treasurer’s Office and cost $8.70 per application. To pay, you can send a check/money order made out to the Montgomery County Treasurer. Applications can be found here. If you would like to purchase a lifetime license, call the Treasurer’s Office at (610) 278-3000.
