2023 Property Tax/Rent Rebate Deadline Approaching
There’s still time for eligible older Pennsylvanians and adults with disabilities to apply for a rebate on property taxes or rent paid in 2023. This year the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program was expanded to offer a maximum standard rebate of $1000.
This program is income-restricted, but the maximum allowable household income was also raised this year and is now $45,000 for both renters and homeowners. When calculating your annual income, don’t forget that only half of your Social Security is counted.
Applications are due by December 31, so there are just a few short weeks left to apply. If you’d like us to process your application, please have your documents to us by December 23 so that we can get your application filed on time. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call!
More information about the rebate program is available on the Department of Revenue’s website.
Pennie Open Enrollment – Now through Jan. 15
If you need health insurance for the coming year, don’t wait! Open Enrollment is the only time of year to shop for 2025 coverage (unless you have a qualifying life event) and the enrollment period ends January 15. Waiting until an illness or injury strikes will be too late.
We’re in the middle of Pennie Open Enrollment right now. If you need coverage by January 1, the deadline to choose a plan is December 15. If you miss that deadline, you will have until January 15 to choose coverage that will be effective February 1.
Already this year, a record number of Pennsylvanians enrolled through PA’s official health insurance marketplace for quality, affordable health care. Plans and prices change every year, so people who need coverage should review their options even if they have looked before.
Pennie Customer Service is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and can be reached at 1-844-844-8040.
Open House a Great Success!
Thanks to everyone who braved the cold weather to celebrate the season at our annual Holiday Open House. Warm cider and festive cookies contributed to an informal gathering full of good cheer, conversation, and community.
