Dear Neighbor,
Spring is on the way! And I continue to work hard for you in Harrisburg and in the District. Most of my time in Harrisburg the past few weeks has been spent in PA House Appropriations Committee budget hearings, talking with leaders from the commonwealth’s various department and agencies on how they plan to spend the funding they’re allocated by the budget.
Here’s a look at a question I asked PA Education Secretary Dr. Carrie Rowe about how school districts should prioritize their funding:

Celebrating our Veterans
Our annual Veterans Brunch at Generations of Indian Valley was a rousing success. I want to thank my friend and colleague, State Rep. Jared Solomon for his excellent keynote speech, Rev. Fritz Fowler of Trinity Lutheran Church for delivering the blessing, and the members of the North Penn Junior ROTC and Souderton Area High School choir for leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance and a moving version of the National Anthem.
Following a delicious lunch, attendees were able to visit with representatives from the offices of state Sen. Maria Collett, Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, and NAMI. Thank you to all who attended and thank you to all who served.
Improvements Coming to Cannon Avenue in Lansdale
State Sen. Maria Collett and I are excited to announce that Lansdale Borough has been awarded $250,000 through the Commonwealth Financing Authority to support the ongoing rehabilitation of Cannon Avenue!
This project means safer sidewalks for pedestrians and clearer roadways for drivers – both are big wins for our community. I am always happy to help our local governments secure state funding for their infrastructure projects – not just because of the ways they improve daily life for our neighbors, but also because they help reduce the expense on local municipal budgets.
