At a rally Thursday in Stroudsburg to support safe staffing, state Rep. Maureen Madden, D-Monroe, said mandated nurse-to-patient ratios save lives, improve quality of care, and are good for not only patients, but for the staff who take care of them. Rozzi: Victims Deserve to Have Their Day

Before the passage of HB1 on the House Floor Tuesday, state Rep. Mark Rozzi again pleaded with the Senate to pass any of the four pieces of legislation that would finally give truth and justice to victims of childhood sexual abuse by reforming Pennsylvania's statute of limitations. After Democrats and Republicans in the House again worked together to provide justice, it's time, Rozzi said, for the Senate to act and give victims their days in court. Read more

Maureen Madden, D-Monroe, and Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Luzerne, who argue that the bill would make it easier for Pennsylvanians to identify and buy locally grown produce by making the commonwealth’s PA Preferred marketing program permanent.
