I attended the House Majority Policy Committee hearing on Wednesday, which gathered testimony from minimum wage earners and public policy experts as we continue to make the push to finally increase the minimum wage in Pennsylvania. House Democrats passed legislation in June that would increase the state’s minimum wage to $15 by 2026. However, that bill is still awaiting action in the GOP-controlled Senate. Read more

The Warminster Bridge is finally open! I know many in the community who are happy to hear it is finally back open again. It is a beautiful bridge and will really help with the traffic congestion as well as walkers and bikers who can now safely travel on that bridge! Read more
There were a lot of exciting events happening in the district this week! I got to participate in honoring Tom Rose, a young man from Willow Grove who was awarded his Eagle Scout rank, and along with Senator Maria Collet, I was able to tour the new, beautiful Lower Moreland High School. The cutting-edge, state-of-the-art facilities will be extremely beneficial to the children’s education. Read more

Big grants were awarded this week – the first was a grant by the state to assist with veteran employment, which is a big win for our veterans and their families. The second grant was awarded to the Borough of Hatboro to improve existing parks and make them inclusive to all levels of play! I was in Harrisburg this week fighting for legislation to provide Full Practice Authority for Nurse Practitioners. I am the prime sponsor of HB 1825, which would end the requirement of a costly collaborative agreement between doctors and nurse practitioners. What a chilly week we’ve had around the district! With the second snowstorm in a week, it has certainly been busy for all the Borough and Township Public Works Departments! We appreciate all their hard work in clearing the roads, parking lots and thoroughfares! I hope everyone was able to stay warm and safe during the latest storm. The Montgomery County Emergency Rent and Utilities Assistance Program will be closing applications this week. If you or anyone you know needs this assistance, please be sure to apply no later than January 26th. Read more
Well, we finally ended our snow drought in the Northeast! It looked so beautiful and serene as it was falling, and the Township and Borough workers all did a fabulous job of clearing the snow to make it safe and passable for those traveling on the roads. We are very appreciative of those who work extremely hard to keep our communities running, even in inclement weather. Read more
The New Year has arrived and that means reorganization for all the townships and the county. It was a very exciting week with swearing-in ceremonies for all of the newly elected township, borough, and county officials. I also attended a press conference introducing the new PA Childcare Tax Credit. What an exciting improvement which will help all Pennsylvanians with children afford reliable childcare, while being able to continue working – not having to make the tough choice between childcare and earning a wage. The holiday season is finally in full swing. Thursday evening was the first night of Hanukkah, and the Christmas tree and menorah were both lit in the Capitol building in Harrisburg! It is quite a joyous sight! Many communities in the 152nd have had their own holiday celebrations and will continue throughout the month. Be on the lookout for dates of various events so that you don’t miss out on the fun and festivities! Read more
December has finally arrived, and boy, it was a rainy welcome to the holiday month! Even with the wet, cold weather, the annual Hatboro Christmas Tree lighting was a great success. Mrs. Claus and Santa arrived on the firetruck to light the tree and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies with all the children in the community. My Open House was also a lovely time – getting to chat with constituents and enjoy some warm cider and even more cookies! We are looking forward to a month of joy and love in the community! Read more
