PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 27 – In concert with the House Democratic Caucus’ Plan4PA, state Rep. Pamela A. DeLissio, D-Montgomery/Phila., announced today that she will host a discussion on single-payer health care during a public roundtable with area health care experts and the House Democratic Policy Committee. The hearing will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, 19004. DeLissio, who serves on the House Health Committee, said she requested the hearing to discuss the concepts behind her legislation, H.B.1688, the Pennsylvania Health Care Plan, a Medicare for all-style single-payer plan. She will be joined by a number of state representatives from across the commonwealth, including Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster.
