HARRISBURG, June 10 -- State Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria/Somerset, announced that Cambria County will receive a state grant from the Host Municipal Inspector Grant Program.
A $1,533 grant will be awarded to the Cambria County Solid Waste Authority to reimburse the county for half of the cost of employing a host municipal inspector.
The Host Municipal Inspector Grant Program, within the state Department of Environmental Protection, provides funding for municipalities that host municipal waste landfills, resource recovery (waste to energy) facilities and commercial hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities.
