Madsen announces $262,407 state grant for HIA improvements

HARRISBURG, March 26 – State Rep. Dave Madsen, D-Dauphin, today announced that $262,407 in state grant funding has been secured for sidewalk enhancements at Harrisburg International Airport campus.

“HIA generates a good deal of economic activity in our area and provides invaluable transportation services. These upgrades will keep our local airport running well,” Madsen said.

The grant, which comes from the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Multimodal Transportation Fund, may be used for the development, rehabilitation and enhancement of transportation assets in the state.

The
CFA approved the grants today. The authority was established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development to administer Pennsylvania’s economic development programs.
