Help with Senior SEPTA Cards Available

If you’re 65 or older, you’re entitled to a free unlimited SEPTA pass – no strings attached. Applying is quick and easy, and our office is here to help. Whether you need assistance signing up or renewing your card, please stop in. It only takes a few minutes to set you up!

Search Unclaimed Property Through My Office

One in 10 Pennsylvania residents has unclaimed property in their name in the Pennsylvania Treasury. The vault is filled with financial assets – including lost paychecks, abandoned bank accounts and more – that have been misplaced but are being held by the Treasury for safekeeping. The state receives millions of dollars each year because of simple mistakes like a misspelled name or an out-of-date address.

You can claim your property online at www.PaTreasury.gov/UnclaimedProperty or staff in my district office will happily assist you in searching the database and retrieving unclaimed funds. There is no cost to search the state database to see if you have unclaimed property.

Help with PennDOT and Vital Records Available

My staff and I are also here to help you navigate PennDOT and Vital Records services. We can assist with disability placards and plates, birth certificates, duplicate titles, and more.

Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program Open Until Dec. 31

The Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program application deadline for relief on taxes and rent paid in 2023 is Dec. 31!

The rebate program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians 65 or older; widows and widowers 50 or older; and people with disabilities 18 or older. Some applicants may qualify for supplemental and local school district rebates as well.

Applications can be filed online at mypath.pa.gov, but my office is also able to assist you in applying for the program.

Additional information is available on the Property Tax/Rent Rebate homepage.

Please contact or visit my office if you have any questions or need help applying!

Help with Unemployment Compensation

People experiencing job loss can reach out to L&I directly through the department’s UC helpline (888-313-7284), by email (UCHelp@pa.gov) or the live chat service. However, if you are running into issues, my office is able to help you troubleshoot – just give us a call or email us. When emailing, please include a brief description of the problem, your name, address, and phone number, and the last four digits of your Social Security number.

Notary Service for Government Related Documents

A notary is available in my district office to assist you with many notarization needs. If you require notary services, please call my office at (610) 427-8782 to schedule an appointment.

Some of the documents that my office cannot notarize include wills, powers of attorney, and custody agreements.

The person whose signature is to be notarized must sign the document in-person and provide proof of identity.
