Rep. Darisha Parker January 9, 2025 | 9:31 AM
State Rep. Darisha Parker today announced her new committee assignments for the 2025-26 legislative session. Parker took the Oath of Office Tuesday and was sworn in to serve her third term representing the 198th Legislative District.
Parker said she looks forward to serving on the following committees:
“I want to thank Speaker Joanna McClinton and Leader Matt Bradford for the honor of serving on these committees,” Parker said. “Committees are an integral part of the legislative process; listening to expert testimony offers a chance to have important conversations and arms us with information so we can craft legislation that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.”
The lawmaker was also sworn in as vice-chair of the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus, saying that she is thankful for the opportunity to serve in the historic caucus, which sponsors legislation to eliminate disparities and create opportunities for people of color across the commonwealth.
Parker added that she will bring a new perspective to each committee she serves on and is committed to learning about unique issues surrounding these areas of state government.
