Webster invites community to Spring Senior Fair

OAKS, April 14 – State Rep. Joe Webster, D-Montgomery, invites residents to his 2023 Senior Fair on Thursday, April 20.

Webster will be joined by representatives from dozens of agencies at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, Hall D, in Oaks, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to provide residents with information about services and programs geared toward seniors and caregivers.

Officials from the offices of U.S. Sen. Bob Casey and U.S. Rep. Madeleine Dean will be on hand, plus staff from state and Montgomery County departments. SEPTA Senior passes, veteran ID’s and proactive fraud protection measures will also be offered during the event.

“I’m really looking forward to holding this event for the older residents and caregivers of our community to help connect them with available services from all levels of government,” Webster said. “Every day, my district office staff work with our seniors on Property Tax/Rent Rebate applications, disability placards, food vouchers and a host of other services. By bringing the federal, state, county and local offices together under one roof, older residents will be able to have their questions answered all in one place.”

Agencies also attending will include Pennie -- Pennsylvania’s official health coverage marketplace -- PA Health & Wellness and multiple insurance companies. For veterans, Montgomery County Veterans Affairs, the West Norriton VA Clinic, VAMC Suicide Prevention Program, Vets in Recovery and the Norristown Vet Center will also be on hand.

Seniors and caregivers are invited to pre-register for the free event at https://forms.gle/M6zGd8Ki7irEdWZf8 or call (484) 200-8263.

Webster represents the 150th Legislative District, which includes Collegeville, Trappe, Lower and Upper Providence, and West Norriton.
