In response to the abrupt closure of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, the House Democratic Policy Committee will convene a hearing next week to discuss the school’s termination. The hearing, hosted by Rep. Ben Waxman (D-Phila.), will take place on Monday, June 17 at 10 a.m. at the William Way LGBT Community Center, 1315 Spruce St., Philadelphia, PA 19107.
Lawmakers will hear directly from students, faculty and alumni as they share the impact the school’s closure has had on their lives and the surrounding community. The hearing will also be livestreamed here.
