Policy Committee explores organ donation, tissue regeneration efforts

PITTSBURGH, July 23 – Expanding organ donation efforts in Pennsylvania is the focus of a tour and roundtable discussion with University of Pittsburgh Institute for Regenerative Medicine hosted by state Rep. Mary Jo Daley.

The tour and roundtable will be held Tuesday, July 27th at 10 a.m. at the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE) located at 204 Sigma Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238. Media inquiries may be submitted via email to policy@pahouse.net.

Rep. Mary Jo Daley, D-Montgomery, will be joined by committee chair, Rep. Ryan Bizzarro and members of the House Democratic Policy Committee to discuss recent legislation to expand organ donation efforts as well as medical developments in creating tissues for transplant.
