Pa. state Rep. Jeanne McNeill hosted a House Democratic Policy Committee hearing on the impact of fireworks legislation in Bethlehem. After hearing the testimony, McNeill believes that there are enough valid public safety and quality of life issues to warrant new legislation to repeal Act 43 of 2017, which made it legal for Pennsylvanians to shoot off fireworks.
