McNeill Encouraged by Wolf’s Budgetary Proposals

HARRISBURG, Feb. 8 – State Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-Lehigh, released the following statement in response to Gov. Tom Wolf’s final budget address:

“Today, Governor Wolf unveiled a fiscal spending plan that reaffirms my belief that working-class families, our children, seniors and most vulnerable citizens haven’t been forgotten,” McNeill said. “The commonwealth’s economic recovery is paved via comprehensive and responsible investments. These investments, from infrastructure to education, public safety to public health, allow the promise of prosperity and economic recovery for all Pennsylvanians, regardless of ZIP codes.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues in the coming months to see that the vocalized ideals of the 133rd Legislative District continue to be represented and considered during budgeting process. We mustn’t forget our responsibility in the legislature when drafting the budget each year. We must draft and pass a spending plan that is fair and equitable for everyone.”
