Help for Older Pennsylvanians 


I always refer to seniors as our wisest neighbors because of the wealth of knowledge and experience they've obtained over the years. Below are free services and programs available to help make life more affordable for older Pennsylvanians. My office is here to answer questions and connect individuals to these resources. 

 

Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program: provides rebates on property tax or rent paid in the previous year by any income eligible senior, as well as individuals with disabilities.

 

PACE and PACENEToffers low-cost prescription medication to individuals 65 and older who have been a Pennsylvania resident for at least 90 days prior to the date of the application and meet specific income requirements.

 

Pennsylvania Medicare Education and Decision Insight: offers free Medicare counseling for older Pennsylvanians to answer their questions and provide objective, easy-to-understand information about Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Medicaid and Long-Term Care Insurance.

 

Free SEPTA Ridesthose 65 and older can ride SEPTA for free with a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, non-driver identification card or a SEPTA Key Senior Photo ID Card. My office can help individuals apply for a SEPTA Senior Photo ID Card.
