HARRISBURG, Oct. 25 - Pennsylvania Speaker of the House Joanna McClinton and state Senator Anthony Hardy Williams, both D-Phila/Delaware, are applauding three state grants being awarded to Yeadon and Darby totaling $838,000.

Darby will receive two grants:

  • $350,000 to improve the borough’s sanitary sewer system.
  • $250,000 to purchase and upfit new police vehicles.

Yeadon will receive $238,000 for sewage planning.

“These grants for Yeadon and Darby will support projects that keep our community safe and secure, whether that is protecting water quality with sewage improvements or helping our local police respond to emergencies safely in updated vehicles,” McClinton said. “Using state and community resources helps us make these improvements more quickly so our neighbors benefit sooner.”

"I’m proud to announce that District 8 has received LSA grants for vital infrastructure improvements, public safety enhancements, and community organization renovations. These investments will significantly benefit our residents and foster growth and safety in our community."
