McClinton applauds more than $188,000 going to help improve safety for Yeadon

PA House Democratic Leader Joanna McClinton applauded a $188,751 grant that is going to help improve safety for her most vulnerable neighbors traveling in Yeadon Borough.

These state dollars, which were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, are part of the Multimodal Transportation Fund and will be used to install ADA ramps, sidewalks and crosswalk striping at the following locations:

  • West Cobbs Creek Parkway.
  • Bailey Road in front of Evans Elementary School.
  • Intersection of Robin Road and Wycombe Avenue.

“Investing in the wellbeing of our neighbors will always be a top priority. Making these areas more handicap accessible is a reflection of our commitment to find effective ways to help ensure all of our neighbors can get to where they need to go safely,” said McClinton, D-Phila./Delaware. “I will continue working with officials in Yeadon Borough and community partners to secure the funding needed to make these important updates possible.”

The Commonwealth Financing Authority was established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development and holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments made through several state grant programs.
