The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine will celebrate Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Jan. 20 with a free dog and cat wellness and vaccination clinic for pet owners who may not have easy access to veterinary services. Owners will also have the option to receive a free flu vaccine from medical school volunteers during their pets' appointments.
Calls for appointments will be accepted beginning Monday, Jan 6. To schedule an appointment, please call 215-898-4680 between 8- l0 a.m. Pet owners will be limited to 2 pets per household and will also be asked about their interest in receiving a flu vaccine at the time of the call.

The Property Tax Rent Rebate program application deadline is Dec. 31!
The rebate program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians 65 or older; widows and widowers 50 or older; and people with disabilities 18 or older.
This year, eligible applicants will receive a one-time bonus Property Tax/Rent Rebate payment, which is 70% of the original rebate amount for every claimant who’s been approved for a rebate on rent or property taxes paid in 2023.
Applications can be filed online at mypath.pa.gov.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Interns will have a flexible week-day schedule and be expected to provide a total of 20 hours a week over 10 weeks. This is a paid, in-person position based in Philadelphia.
