Dog and Cat Wellness and Vaccine Clinic

The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine will celebrate Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Jan. 20 with a free dog and cat wellness and vaccination clinic for pet owners who may not have easy access to veterinary services. Owners will also have the option to receive a free flu vaccine from medical school volunteers during their pets' appointments.

Calls for appointments will be accepted beginning Monday, Jan 6. To schedule an appointment, please call 215-898-4680 between 8- l0 a.m. Pet owners will be limited to 2 pets per household and will also be asked about their interest in receiving a flu vaccine at the time of the call.

Apply for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate!

The Property Tax Rent Rebate program application deadline is Dec. 31!

The rebate program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians 65 or older; widows and widowers 50 or older; and people with disabilities 18 or older.

This year, eligible applicants will receive a one-time bonus Property Tax/Rent Rebate payment, which is 70% of the original rebate amount for every claimant who’s been approved for a rebate on rent or property taxes paid in 2023.

Applications can be filed online at mypath.pa.gov.

We are accepting applications for Spring 2025 internships in my Philadelphia office! This internship is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to gain valuable work experience and insight into how our government works!

Intern responsibilities include

• Conducting constituent services & casework intake.
• Tracking and recording constituent messages.
• Drafting constituent correspondence.
• Supporting legislative research and data collection.
• Assisting with constituent outreach projects.
• Assisting staff with programming and public events.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Interns will have a flexible week-day schedule and be expected to provide a total of 20 hours a week over 10 weeks. This is a paid, in-person position based in Philadelphia.
