Delco Back to School Fair!
Don’t miss our Delco Back to School community resource fair Wednesday Aug. 28 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Park Lane Elementary School, 1300 Park Lane, Darby, PA 19023.
This event is ONLY for students in the William Penn School District. Please note that once supplies are gone, they are GONE!

Philly Back to School Fair!
It’s that time of the year, neighbors – back to school! With that in mind, my office wants to ensure our students start the school year with the supplies they need to succeed in the classroom. We will be distributing backpacks and related supplies from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29 at my district office, located at 149 S. 60th St.
This event is only for residents of Philadelphia. Please note that once supplies are gone, they are GONE!

Sayre Health Annual City-Wide Health Fair
Sayre Health is hosting their annual City-Wide Health Fair on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The goal of the event is to inform community members of various social resources, encourage community members to have healthier lifestyles, and close health measures as the community engages in fun activities.

Apply for the Barbara Jordan Fellowship by Aug. 29!
The Barbara Jordan Fellowship is a fully funded, non-partisan program dedicated to equipping young Black women with the skills, knowledge, and networks necessary to make significant contributions to legislative policy. This fellowship honors the legacy of Barbara Jordan, a trailblazing leader and the first African American woman elected to the Texas Senate, by fostering a new wave of change-makers ready to take on today's most pressing challenges. This initiative is housed under the Center for 1968 at Community College of Philadelphia.
To qualify for this fellowship, you must be:
1. A working professional or college student.
2. Working in or pursuing a degree in politics or public policy.
Applications are due by August 29.
