Property Tax Rent Rebate Mobile Office!

My office will be hosting multiple Property Tax Rent/Rebate Mobile offices throughout the district! Join us on Wednesday March 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Darby Rec Center, 1022 Ridge Ave., Darby 19023!

If you want to know more about the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program, or other state programs but are unable to attend this event, my office is here to make sure you have access to the state services you need and deserve! Stay tuned for more information on other upcoming mobile office dates!

Did you know that under state law utility companies are required to work with consumers on payment plans or assistance programs? The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission can help you contact your utility provider and get assistance.


The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps families pay their heating bills or cover the cost of emergency repairs. If you need assistance applying or have any questions, please visit or contact my office!

Free Criminal Record Clearing Clinic at Ceiba

On Saturday, March 23 starting at 10:00 a.m., Ceiba and Community Legal Services (CLS) are organizing a criminal record clearing clinic at 174 Diamond St. Philadelphia PA 19122.

Criminal record clearing helps eligible people improve their prospects for higher paying jobs.  
PA law allows: 
• Many felony convictions to be sealed after 10 years
• Most misdemeanor convictions to be sealed after 7 years
• Automatic sealing of summary convictions after 5 years
• Non-convictions to be expunged
• Felony and misdemeanor charges to be pardoned

At the Ceiba Criminal Record Clearing Clinic, an attorney will help people find out if their conviction is one that needs a legal petition for clearing to be filed. This is most important for felony and misdemeanor convictions.

This week in session!

This week I unveiled legislation that would improve access to the polls for lawfully registered Pennsylvania voters. This bill would allow registered Pennsylvania voters to vote early, in-person, during the two weeks leading up to Election Day and allow an eligible Pennsylvanian to register to vote at polling locations on Election Day. Thank you to all the voting rights advocates who have supported my bill! We will make voting accessible and safe for all Pennsylvanians!

 

It was great to see my youngest constituents from Add B. Anderson Elementary School on the floor of the House! It warms my heart to see my neighbors at the Capitol!
