Demand the PA State Senate pass the House bill to give survivors of childhood sexual abuse a chance at justice

At the end of February 2023 the PA House passed a bill to give survivors of sexual abuse their day in court to finally get justice from their abusers. For decades thousands of children abused by predators and marginalized by institutions like the Catholic Church had nowhere to turn thanks to an antiquated statute of limitations. Governor Shapiro will sign the bill if it comes to his desk.

Now, the PA State Senate must do its job. Help us hold abusers and the institutions that protected them accountable and give survivors justice.

Dear Senator,

Survivors deserve justice, not politics.

Please pass the PA House’s bill to change our statute of limitations laws to allow survivors of childhood sexual abuse to finally face their abusers and the institutions that protected those abusers.

Stop the political games. If the Senate wants to change PA election rules or let special interests write their own rules and regulations, they should pass separate bills to do that. But stop holding survivors and the justice they deserve hostage.

Pass the House bill now. Do the right thing. The people are watching. Survivors are waiting.
