Delloso lauds state funding for Hook Road industrial redevelopment

HARRISBURG, July 23 – State Rep. David Delloso said he is pleased to welcome millions in state support for industrial redevelopment on Hook Road in Darby Township.

The Delaware County Redevelopment Authority, on behalf of Brigaloon Inc., was awarded a $1.4 million grant and $2.1 million low-interest loan by the Commonwealth Financing Authority from the state’s Business in Our Sites Program.

Brigaloon acquired the 5-acre site at the corner of Hook and Calson Hook roads in 2022 and will remove four 10,000-gallon underground storage tanks from a former gas station to redevelop the site for a new, state-of-the-art industrial building. The redevelopment is expected to create 45 jobs.

The funds will be used for demolition, site stabilization, stormwater management, paving and landscaping.

“Many thanks are owed to the Commonwealth Finance Authority, who showed the foresight to invest in Darby Township and Delaware County with these competitive funds,” said Delloso, D-Delaware. “Any time we have the state offsetting the costs of local projects, taxpayers and citizens win. I look forward to seeing the project completed.”
