Delloso announces $5.5 million in grants for local projects

RIDLEY PARK, Dec. 28 – State Rep. David Delloso, D-Delaware, announced $5.5 million in Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grants for his legislative district and the region.

The grants include:

  • $2 million for additional aircraft parking at Philadelphia International Airport in Tinicum.
  • $1.5 million for Delaware County 911 communications.
  • $1.5 million for Monroe Energy for a safety and environmental upgrade.
  • $500,000 for Delaware County Community College for a major renovation and expansion in Upper Darby.

“It has been an honor to work alongside state representatives, state Senator Tim Kearney and local officials to help make these projects and communications upgrades a reality,” Delloso said. “Through testimony at the Pennsylvania House Democratic Policy Committee hearings earlier this year, we’ve learned Philadelphia Airport has the potential to be a hub for the entire Northeast Region and a real job creator. So, I’m thrilled to see the construction of the concrete apron for additional aircraft parking.

“Grant writing can be overwhelming, but my office is here to assist you,” he said. “If your municipality or organization did not receive approval or funding during this current round, I would encourage you to reach out to my office for help.”

The RACP is administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.
