Curry to host senior breakfast this October

UPPER DARBY, Oct. 12 – State Rep. Gina H. Curry, D-Delaware, invites seniors living in the 164th Legislative District to a free senior breakfast and resource fair from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Oct. 28 at the Watkins Senior Center, 326 Watkins Ave., Upper Darby.

“I am pleased to be able to host another breakfast for seniors,” said Curry. “We had a great turnout for our event in the spring, and I am looking forward to this opportunity to meet with residents and learn about the issues and concerns important to older Pennsylvanians living in the 164th. We will also have information about the state, county and local resources available to them.”

Curry and members of her staff will be available to help constituents with any state government-related matters, including SEPTA Keycards, unclaimed property, and household heating and water assistance (LIHEAP and LIWAP). The Delaware County office of Services for the Aging will be on hand to answer questions.

There will also be information about estate planning, Medicare open enrollment, rebate scams, the new Community Action Agency of Delaware County location, and a new community center coming to Upper Darby.

To register to attend, residents may contact Curry’s office at (610) 259-7016 or RepCurry@pahouse.net.
