Curry announces new date and location for Inspi-HER’d

Threat of rain canceled event in May

UPPER DARBY, Aug. 22 – State Rep. Gina H. Curry, D-Delaware, is pleased to announce a new date and location for Inspi-HER’d, a fun, field day event for girls in fifth through eighth grades. The rescheduled date is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at Naylors Run Park, 1567 Garrett Road, Upper Darby.

It will include outdoor workshops, field day activities, special youth guest appearances and more. Lunch will be provided.

“After rain forced us to cancel this event in May, I am very excited that we have a new date and location and can now move forward with Inspi-HER’d,” Curry said. “It is important for us to support the health and wellness of girls in our community in a positive and affirming way. We want them to know there are resources and help available at any stage. I am looking forward to a day of fun for all.”

Curry will be joined by youth community leaders and her staff. They will be available to provide information on state-related programs and youth services.
