With just a couple more days in Harrisburg with my colleagues, our year is starting to wind down, and I want to remind you, my neighbors, how much I appreciate you entrusting me to serve our communities. I want to continue to work and fight for you in Harrisburg, while serving you in our communities in any way that I can. As always, if you need any kind of assistance, please feel free to contact my office!

On December 2, I had the honor of attending Councilmember At-Large Rue Landau’s second annual LGBTQ Hall of Fame, where we celebrated and recognized LGBTQ+ Philadelphians for their significant contributions. I was one of the very first inductees last year, so I was thrilled to come back and support the new inductees. I had a wonderful time, and I am so excited to attend these Hall of Fame events in the future. Thank you, Councilmember Rue Landau, for hosting this celebratory event for the community!

Mural Arts and Defenders Association’s Art Sale
|
On December 2, I attended the Mural Arts and Defenders Association’s annual art sale. The art sale amplified the voices of incarcerated individuals while making sure that they get paid for their work. The artwork featured is by artists at SCI Phoenix. This event enlightened us to continue celebrating art in the community. This was a wonderful way to cap off my evening, and I even got a new painting for my office. Thank you to Mural Arts and to the Defenders Association for hosting a great art sale and giving those who are incarcerated a creative platform.
