Burns invites local sportsmen’s clubs to apply for state grant funding

HARRISBURG, April 3 – State Rep. Frank Burns is alerting local sportsmen’s organizations about a funding opportunity with the 2025 Pennsylvania Shooting Range Improvement Program.

The Pennsylvania Shooting Range Improvement Program helps local sportsmen’s clubs develop new or unique projects. The program is now open.

“This funding could be crucial in counties like ours, offering financial support to our state’s aging shooting range infrastructure while also opening the door for new members to join sportsman’s clubs like Wilmore Sportsman’s Association,” said Burns, D-Cambria.

A maximum of $50,000 will be awarded per project. Eligible projects could include training, storage, and clubhouse facilities; new construction, renovation, relocation; construction of backstops and safety berms; signage; lead remediation; and more.

The mission of the program is to provide funding to the more than 800 sportsmen’s clubs across the state to develop projects that will positively impact Pennsylvania hunters and shooters.

Completed applications for the Pennsylvania ?Shooting Range Improvement Program are due by June 1. Projects are expected to be selected by July 1.
