HARRISBURG, Feb. 12 – State Rep. Matt Bradford announced that eight local fire departments and emergency medical service (EMS) companies were awarded $137,000 in state funding to support their work.
“Our first responders deserve to have the tools and resources they need to do their jobs and keep us safe. This grant funding will give our fire and EMS companies the ability to provide the best services for our community,” said Bradford, D-Mongomery. “I’m grateful to the Shapiro Administration for supporting our local first responders.”
The following organizations were awarded grants:
The Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant is an annual grant program available through the Office of the Fire Commissioner to eligible volunteer and career fire companies, emergency medical services and rescue squads. The funding can be used for facility improvements, equipment, debt reduction, training and certification, education and outreach and recruitment and retention.
