SKIPPACK, Aug. 18 – State Rep. Matt Bradford today announced that Skippack Township was awarded a $2,072,280 state grant for improvements to the intersection of Routes 73 and 113.
The funding will support the township’s reconstruction project, which includes widening a culvert and constructing turn lanes and a sidewalk. In addition to improving traffic and pedestrian safety, it will also provide the necessary space for emergency vehicles to navigate traffic at the intersection.
“This project will make significant improvements to a very busy intersection in Skippack, so I’m excited that this $2 million grant has been awarded to make traveling through Skippack Village safer for drivers and pedestrians alike,” said Bradford, D-Montgomery. “I’m grateful that the Shapiro administration is investing in this important infrastructure improvement project in our community.”
The state grant was awarded through PennDOT’s Multimodal Transportation Fund.
