The $84,067 grant awarded to the Norristown School District is a crucial investment in the safety and well-being of our students and staff. By addressing issues like asbestos, mold and lead, we're taking an important step toward ensuring our schools are places where our children can succeed," Scott said.

“Students, teachers and staff deserve to go to their school each day in a safe environment so that they can focus on learning and teaching. This funding will help Norristown Area School District address structural issues to protect our kids’ health,” Bradford said.  “I’m proud that we successfully fought for this funding and I’m grateful to the Shapiro Administration for also prioritizing keeping our kids safe in schools.”

"Every student deserves to learn in an environment that is safe, healthy and free from dangers such as asbestos and lead. Witnessing the critical needs in our public schools reinforced our commitment to making meaningful investments. With our leadership in the House, we've prioritized addressing these long-neglected issues.
