Lawmakers invite public to attend community budget briefing

Informational event to highlight local impact of state budget

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 18 – Local lawmakers and members of the PA House Appropriations Committee are inviting residents and community leaders to attend a briefing on how the 2024-25 state budget is benefitting communities across Allegheny County.

The briefing is scheduled to occur from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Kingsley Association, 6435 Frankstown Ave., 15206.

Appropriations Committee members will provide detailed information on how state budget dollars are impacting local communities, followed by a 60-minute question and comment period for members of the public.

State representatives in attendance will include:

  • Kyle Mullins, D-Lackawanna, vice chair, House Appropriations Committee
  • La’Tasha D. Mayes, D-Allegheny, House Appropriations Committee member
  • Emily Kinkead, D-Allegheny, House Appropriations Committee member
  • Abigail Salisbury, D-Allegheny, House Appropriations Committee member
  • Nick Pisciottano, D-Allegheny, chair, Allegheny County House Democratic Delegation
