Salisbury: More than $650,000 secured for District 34 traffic signal improvements

BRADDOCK, Aug. 2 – New funding of more than $650,252 is coming to the 34th Legislative District for transportation upgrades, state Rep. Abigail Salisbury announced today.

Salisbury said the funding, awarded under the Green Light-Go Program, includes $600,252 to Wilkinsburg Borough to modernize the traffic signal at East Swissvale Avenue and Ross Avenue/Rebecca Avenue, and another $50,000 to Swissvale Borough for a study to determine whether upgrades are needed at the intersection of Monongahela and Schoyer avenues.

“I’m glad to see the new funding coming to modernize the signal at this busy intersection,” Salisbury said. “Upgrades like these are important for enhancing safety, reducing delays, and even cutting idling times to reduce pollution. I want to thank PennDOT and our local partners who helped make this funding happen.”
