May 23, 2024 - Educator Pipeline

The Pennsylvania House Majority Policy Committee co-hosted a roundtable with the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus on the need for an educator pipeline for teachers of color as part of the Leroy K. Irvis Day of Action.

Civics Lesson at Tinicum Middle School

Rep. Regina Young visited Mr. Cleary's 8th grade class at Tinicum Middle School to talk about the importance of voting and how the different levels and branches of government work. Young was joined by Judge Henry Lewandowski, Tinicum Township Commissioners, the Interboro School District Superintendent, plus representatives from the offices of Congresswoman Scanlon and state Senator Anthony Williams.

State Rep. Regina Young, D- Phila./Delaware, today presented a check for $425,000 to Colwyn Borough for Walnut Street sanitary sewer improvements.

Bartram High School and McDonald's Lunch and Interview Event

State Rep. Regina Young, D-Phila./Delaware, held a School Lunch and Interview event with youth from John Bartram High School in partnership with McDonald’s. The goal of the event was for students to learn more about what employers are looking for in customer service jobs and the career paths that can come from these opportunities.

Resource Gift Basket Sharing, December 2021

We surprised every school, library, and municipal building in the 185th District with a resource gift basket. In turn, Principal Jessup from Patterson School donated coats to a family in need and contacted our office to provide a handful of take-home COVID tests to be given to the people who already contacted our office.

House Tourism and Recreation Committee Boyertown Tour

On Oct. 8, I went on a tour of Boyertown with the Pa. House Tourism and Recreation Committee. We were able to visit the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles and Gen. Carl Spaatz National USAAF Museum.
