Beginning the 2025-26 Legislative Session
|
Serving our communities is the honor of my life, so I was thrilled this week to take the oath of office to begin my third term in the state House of Representatives. Swearing-in day is always an exciting time for me, filled with grandeur and enthusiasm to get to work for our communities in South & Southwest Philly and Delco. You can watch the full ceremony here.
I was so proud to be surrounded by my family, my staff and my neighbors who made the trip to Harrisburg for this special day. Watch the video above to learn more about my legislative priorities for the 2025-26 legislative session, then click the image below to read more about the ceremony and the legislation that I’ve introduced this session already. Our Democratic majority has hit the ground running, and we are here to deliver for hardworking Pennsylvanians.

Learning About Agriculture at the PA Farm Show
|
Farming and agriculture are not necessarily the first things you think about when you think of our area, however, ag affects us all! The PA Farm Show is an amazing annual showcase of all things related to our state’s number one industry. It brings agriculture to life by highlighting food production and safety, environmental technology, animals and livestock that you can touch and interact with, plus amazing FOOD everywhere you look. This year is the 109th PA Farm Show and the theme is Powering Pennsylvania.
I’ll admit that I’m probably like you and didn’t know much about the Farm Show as a resident of Philadelphia. However, since becoming a state legislator, I am now a true believer in the power of ag and the Farm Show experience!
I had the pleasure of speaking with the Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding about why the Farm Show is so important to everyone, the value of urban agriculture, our own Bartram’s Garden, and the future of ag in our state. I encourage you to click above and watch our short discussion and make your plans now to attend the 110th PA Farm Show next January in Harrisburg!
