I will be hosting a Shred Event on May 3 from 10:30 a.m. – noon where you can safely dispose of paperwork with personal and/or financial information on site. Please join me and my staff for this event at my Cheswick District Office.

I joined the Allegheny County House Democratic Delegation in visiting the Starzl Biomedical Science Tower at the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Medicine this week. We were able to tour department facilities, meet with faculty members, and learn about the cutting-edge biomedical research that the University of Pittsburgh is performing for our region. I was greatly impressed by their work and will continue to fight for their protection, especially with their funding being threatened at the federal level.

I have partnered with Allegheny Rivertrail Park to host the RiverTrail Recreation Day on Sunday, June 1 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. We will be celebrating outdoor traditions, have information on state resources and local organizations in the realm of recreation and conservation. Come celebrate the great outdoors and summertime recreation with me and my office staff!

This is a friendly reminder that the federal enforcement of REAL ID goes into effect next Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

After this date, Pennsylvanians will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or photo ID card — or another form of federally acceptable identification, such as a valid passport or military ID — to board domestic flights or enter certain federal facilities.

If you do not plan on taking a domestic flight or visiting a federal facility soon or likewise have another form of REAL ID-acceptable identification, don’t panic – you may obtain a REAL ID, if you wish to get one, at your convenience.
