Rep. Pisciottano elected chairman of Allegheny County House Democratic Delegation

HARRISBURG, Nov. 15 – Today, state Rep. Nick Pisciottano announced he has been elected chairman of the Allegheny County House Democratic Delegation for the upcoming 2023-24 legislative session.

Pisciottano, a legislator in the final weeks of his first term representing parts of the Mon Valley and the South Hills, will succeed now Lieutenant Governor-elect Austin Davis, who served as ACHDD chair in the 2021-22 legislative session.

“I am so grateful that my colleagues have selected me to lead our delegation,” said Pisciottano. “I’m excited to continue the delegation’s legacy of pursuing policies that create better jobs, better schools, and better communities across Allegheny County.

“It’s my honor to receive the unanimous support of all my Allegheny County colleagues who represent a wide variety of lived experiences, personal backgrounds and legislative goals to lead our collective efforts toward improving the lives of Allegheny County residents over the next two years.

“As chair, I’ll be paying much closer attention to issues across the county, but my top priority will always be representing the interests of residents in the 38th Legislative District.”

Pisciottano’s appointment to lead Western Pennsylvania’s largest delegation comes as PA House Democrats enter the 2023-24 legislative session with the most members since the 2008-09 session.
