Kinkead secures $140,000 for milk bank, ADA restroom

Gaming funds support improvements at Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank, Bayne Park

BELLEVUE, Jan. 30 State Rep. Emily Kinkead announced today $140,000 in state grant money has been awarded to support two development projects in the 20th Legislative District.

“Helping the milk bank upgrade and increasing accessibility at Bayne Park are both excellent investments in our community,” said Kinkead. “I’m thrilled Senator Wayne Fontana and I were able to secure this funding to help build a better Bellevue.”

Kinkead said grants of $70,000 each were awarded to Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank for renovations at their new facility and to Quaker Valley Council of Governments to construct an ADA restroom building in Bayne Park.

The grants are sourced from the Gaming Economic Development Tourism Fund, which is overseen by the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County and the state Commonwealth Financing Authority, and provides financial assistance to entities to facilitate economic development projects in Allegheny County.
