BELLEVUE, May 15 – State Rep. Emily Kinkead announced today a $150,000 state grant has been awarded to fund ADA accessibility improvements at PrimeTime Senior Center.
“It warms my heart to see state dollars being invested in the well-being of our senior citizens,” said Kinkead, D-Allegheny. “I’m excited to see the accessibility improvements come to fruition at PrimeTime so that more of our older neighbors can enjoy their fantastic programming.”
“We’re extremely grateful to be awarded this grant,” said Courtney Lotz, program manager at PrimeTime. “Our main focus for the funding is accessibility. We want to ensure our building and services are safe, accessible and available to all that need them.”
Kinkead said Brighton Heights Healthy Active Living Center also received an award of $2,551 in this round of grant funding.
The grant funding is appropriated by the General Assembly with proceeds from the Pennsylvania Lottery. For more information on services and programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians, please visit the Pennsylvania Department of Aging’s website.
