Davidson announces more than $2.2 million in grants

HARRISBURG, Jan. 22 – State Rep. Nate Davidson, D-Cumberland/Dauphin, today announced that a total of $2,259,099 in grant funding has been awarded to support a variety of projects in Harrisburg and Cumberland County. They are:

Multimodal Transportation Fund Grants:

  • $400,000 – East Pennsboro Township for a township-wide sidewalk safety project.
  • $370,000 – Camp Hill Borough for pedestrian safety improvements along Lenox Street.

Small Water and Sewer Grants:

  • $400,000 – Camp Hill Borough for Harvard Avenue drainage improvements.
  • $400,000 – East Pennsboro Township Authority’s 2026 stormwater lining project.
  • $234,100 – Lemoyne Borough for Pear Street drainage improvements.  

Rail Freight Assistance Program Grant:

  • $454,999 – Consolidated Scrap Resources Inc. for rehabilitation of existing track and new rail track within its 28-acre yard in Harrisburg.

“Communities big and small will thrive when infrastructure is constantly improving,” Davidson said. “I want to thank the Commonwealth Financing Authority, the State Transportation Commission, and state Sen. Patty Kim for their help in securing the funds for these projects which will make our streets and railroads safer.”

The funds are provided by the Commonwealth Financing Authority. The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of the Commonwealth. The PA Small Water and Sewer program provides townships and municipalities with the resources they need to ensure proper improvements are made to their sewer and water systems

The State Transportation Commission awards Rail Freight Assistance Program and Rail Transportation Assistance Grants to support rail infrastructure and safety throughout the Commonwealth.
