Over the past few weeks, I have had the privilege of experiencing moments that truly reflect the heart of our community. From inspiring conversations with students to supporting organizations that change lives, these experiences remind me of the incredible impact we can make when we work together.

Career Day at Hallowell Elementary
|
I had an incredible time participating in Hallowell Elementary’s Career Day. Speaking with bright and curious third- to fifth graders about the legislative process was truly a highlight of my week. Their enthusiasm and thoughtful questions were inspiring.
One of my favorite parts was inviting students to join our “There Ought to Be a Law” Contest, encouraging them to think creatively about changes they would like to see in their communities. It is never too early to learn the value of civic engagement. If your child would like to participate, please reach out to my office for an official entry form. We would love to hear their ideas.

Supporting One House at a Time Beds for Kids
|
I also had the privilege of helping One House at a Time (OHAAT) move into their new location. OHAAT provides beds and essential furnishings to children who would otherwise go without. A bed is not just furniture. It is safety, stability, and dignity. This organization works tirelessly to make sure every child has a place to rest, dream, and grow. If you are looking for a meaningful way to support local kids, I highly recommend OHAAT.

Fighting Hunger with Share Food Program
|
I was proud to join the Montgomery County community for the ribbon cutting of the new Share Food Program warehouse. This facility represents more than storage. It is a commitment to fighting hunger and expanding access to nutritious food for families across our region. Thank you to everyone whose hard work made this possible.

Annual Dog Licensing Event
|
Finally, thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Dog Licensing Event. Your participation helps keep pets safe and ensures we are all doing our part as responsible pet owners. A special thank you to Montgomery County Treasurer Jason Salus and his office for partnering with us to make this event possible.

Each of these experiences reminded me of the power of community and the importance of working together to create positive change. I am grateful for your continued support and engagement and I look forward to seeing you at future events.
