March 7 e-mail: Volunteering in our community and celebrating Read Across America Day

Dear Friends,

I was truly honored to have the SEPA Delegation join me for a fulfilling day of volunteerism at Mitzvah Circle. It was an incredible experience to witness firsthand the dedication and impact that Mitzvah Circle has in our community. Their unwavering commitment to providing essential support and resources to those in need is truly inspiring.

Mitzvah Circle plays a crucial role in making a positive difference in the lives of many individuals and families. From providing clothing, food and household items to offering emotional support and connection, their work is a beacon of hope and compassion. They carefully assess each family's unique situation and provide personalized assistance to ensure the family receives the help they need. Mitzvah Circle also addresses critical needs that are often overlooked, such as diapers for babies, school supplies for children and even birthday gifts, making sure that dignity and respect are at the forefront of their mission.

I encourage everyone to consider donating their time to this wonderful organization. Whether it's a few hours or a full day, your contribution can make a significant impact on the lives of those who need it most. Your efforts not only provide immediate relief but also foster a sense of community and belonging. For information on volunteering with Mitzvah Circle, visit:  Volunteer With Us - Mitzvah Circle

In addition to volunteering, please remember that Mitzvah Circle accepts donations year-round. My district office serves as a convenient drop-off point for clothing, non-perishable food items, toiletries and household essentials. Your generous donations ensure that Mitzvah Circle can continue to meet the ongoing needs of our community.

Together, we can continue to support and uplift our community. Every act of kindness, big or small, makes a difference. Let’s join hands and be the change we wish to see in the world.

One School, One Book

What a fun experience it was to join the One School, One Book Kick Off at Blair Mill Elementary once again this year!

I was over the moon to be part of their Read Across America event celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday. This year, I had the joy of introducing "Zoey and Sassafras" by Asia Citro! The other special guests and I kicked things off by reading the first chapter aloud, creating a buzz of excitement among the students.

And here's the cherry on top: every single family at Blair Mill will receive a copy to enjoy at home throughout the month! This shared reading adventure will weave a beautiful, united tapestry within our school community.

It was such a blast to dive into this magical journey together!
