Dec. 27 e-mail: A magical holiday season in southeastern Pennsylvania

Dear Friends,

I hope everyone has been having an incredible holiday season! It has been such fun to celebrate the holidays with so many of you in the past few weeks and to partake in various festivities. Here are some highlights from our recent holiday celebrations.

Biddle Air National Guard Base Christmas Tree Lighting: What an honor it was to attend the Christmas tree lighting and holiday party at Biddle Air National Guard Base! The event was filled with festive spirit, joy, and the warmth of community. The Biddle Air National Guard Base has a rich history of service and dedication, and it was truly special to be part of this celebration. The base, home to the 111th Attack Wing, plays a vital role in our nation's defense, and the men and women stationed here exemplify commitment and excellence.  Seeing the beautifully lit Christmas tree and sharing in the holiday cheer with our service members and their families was a heartwarming experience. These gatherings remind us of the importance of community, and the need of support and togetherness, especially during the holiday season. Thank you to everyone at Biddle Air National Guard Base for your hospitality and for making this event so memorable. Your dedication and service are deeply appreciated, and it was a privilege to celebrate with you.

Ambler Borough Holiday Parade: What an absolute blast it was to attend the Ambler Borough Holiday Parade! Despite the freezing weather, our hearts were warm and overflowing with holiday cheer. The festive atmosphere, vibrant floats, and joyful music truly captured the spirit of the season. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to celebrate this special time of year with our amazing community. The creativity and effort put into the parade were simply outstanding, making it a memorable experience for everyone. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped organize this fantastic event. Your hard work and dedication brought so much joy to us all.

Holiday Open House: We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us at our Holiday Open House! Your presence truly made the event special and filled it with warmth and festive cheer. It was wonderful to connect with so many members of our community, share light refreshments, and spread holiday joy. We hope you enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and had a great time getting to know our team. Your support and participation mean the world to us.

Jarrettown Elementary Choir in Harrisburg: I was absolutely thrilled to welcome the talented fourth and fifth graders from Jarrettown Elementary to Harrisburg! Their visit was truly a highlight of the holiday season. These young musicians filled the Capitol Rotunda with the sounds of the season, performing an array of amazing holiday-themed songs that resonated through the grand halls. Their voices brought joy and cheer to everyone who had the pleasure of listening. After their enchanting performance, the choir had the opportunity to take a tour of our beautiful Capitol Building. It was wonderful to see their curiosity and excitement as they explored the historic architecture and learned about the significance of the building. A big thank you to the Jarrettown Elementary choir for bringing such warmth and holiday spirit to Harrisburg. Your performance was truly memorable and a testament to the talent and dedication of our young people.

SEPA Delegation Visits Longwood Gardens for A Longwood Christmas: The Southeast PA Delegation, of which I am a member, had an absolutely magical time touring Longwood Gardens for the “A Longwood Christmas” festivities! The gardens were a breathtaking winter wonderland, filled with stunning lights, festive displays, and the spirit of the season. It was a joy to share this experience with the SEPA Delegation and to see the beauty and creativity that Longwood Gardens has brought to life. From the twinkling lights to the beautifully decorated trees, every corner was a testament to the holiday cheer and the wonder of the season. A big thank you to everyone at Longwood Gardens for hosting us and for creating such a spectacular holiday experience. We left feeling inspired, joyful, and filled with the holiday spirit!

Wishing everyone a joyous holiday season filled with love, peace, and happiness! May you have a happy, healthy new year.
