AMBRIDGE, May 24 – A $50,000 grant from the Department of Agriculture will bolster the operations of an important area food program, state Rep. Rob Matzie, D-Beaver, announced today. Matzie said the funding was awarded to Church of the Redeemed of Beaver County, which partners to operate Project Hope – a program addressing food insecurity and other essential community needs.
“This program has been a lifeline to families needing access to nutritious foods,” Matzie said. “The new funding will help them continue their vital work on behalf of the community.”
The funding was awarded through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) Reach and Resiliency Grants.
