State Rep. Christina Sappey, D-Chester, today announced she has been re-appointed to the Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Local Government, and Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness committees. She was also re-appointed to serve on the bipartisan, bicameral Local Government Commission by the speaker of the House and Democratic House leadership.

“I am honored to continue serving Pennsylvanians through my work on the commission and these committees,” Sappey said.

During the previous legislative session, Sappey supported the adoption of the PA Farm Bill by the Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee its passage by the General Assembly. She continues to support agriculture innovation to help preserve existing farms and open space.

Sappey has helped develop and support legislation that would streamline government processes through her role on the Local Government Committee and appointment to the Local Government Commission. These reforms would create more efficient local county and municipal operations, lowering tax costs and providing better services to residents.

As a member of the Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee, Sappey has made expanding access to services for veterans and creating more funding and volunteer support for first responders such as fire, police and EMS a top priority.
