Rusnock hosting senior fraud prevention event on April 15

TEMPLE, March 24 – State Rep. Jacklyn Rusnock is inviting older residents to attend her senior fraud prevention event in partnership with the state Attorney General’s office on April 15.

The AG office’s director of senior protection will present information on current scams and financial exploitation tactics targeting seniors and, more importantly, how to avoid falling victim to them.

The free presentation will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, April 15 at Crossroads Family Restaurant, 4643 Pottsville Pike, Reading.

"Save the date for this informative event where attendees can learn how to protect their personal information from exploitation,” Rusnock said. “The presentation will cover common warning signs indicative of a scam, effective strategies to safeguard your finances, and resources and support available for seniors. We’ll also have coffee and donuts to share, providing an opportunity to learn new ways to protect yourself in the digital world within a relaxed setting.”

Questions can be directed to Rusnock’s office by calling (610) 921-8921.
