Rep. Mark Rozzi's Biography
State Representative Mark Rozzi was elected to serve as State Representative for the126th Legislative District in November 2012. On Jan. 3, 2023, Rozzi was elected by his peers as Speaker of the House. Rozzi served as speaker for two months, where he scheduled three special elections, visited four cities on a statewide listening tour, held Special Session for victims of childhood sexual abuse, and passed five bills that would reform Pennsylvania’s statute of limitations for those who endured childhood sexual abuse. Rozzi resigned as speaker on Feb. 28, 2023. His legacy lives in the House chamber through the adopted rules he drafted, which he wrote with the intention of improving the legislative process by minimizing instances of hyper-partisanship.
The Berks County Legislator is a lifelong resident of the district. He graduated in 1989 from Muhlenberg High School where he was a three sport athlete and member of the Political Science Club and Model UN.
Rozzi went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Kutztown University with a concentration in pre-law and constitutional law.
Rozzi resides in Muhlenberg Township where he remains active in the community.
His legislative priorities include education, property tax relief, improving the commonwealth's aging infrastructure system and safeguarding our children from predators.
